We’re continuing on with ketogenic recipes that are simple, easy, and have been staples of mine over the last 6 years. Generally speaking, keto does demand a bit more time in the kitchen than most other diets. You can’t just throw some store-bought meal into the oven or microwave, and it’s very hard to really enjoy the food when you make the same thing every day.
The other day, we were craving burgers – so I thought making one of my old favorites would be perfect to showcase, especially being in the state home to Juicy Lucys! Cheese stuffed bacon cheeseburger – it sounds so sinful in its own way, and rightly so. Since I started cooking for myself, I’ve mostly lived in small apartments that don’t allow for outdoor grills on the balcony. So, I mostly cook my meats in the oven or on the stove top and it’s no different here.
If you’re more of a griller, definitely feel free to grill the burgers – as I’m sure they’ll come out super awesome that way, too. The cheese melts on the inside and it extremely gooey by the time you’re done. Extra cheese on top never hurt, right? Plus, to finish it all off, we add a slice of bacon to really go the extra mile.

I didn’t have Cajun Seasoning handy so I swapped in paprika and it was THE BOMB.
Yay! I’m so glad!
This was wonderful! Made it for picky kids so I just used garlic powder in place of cajun seasoning. Very enjoyable and easy, I’ll definitely be making it again!
Is this recipe for one or two people? Thank you.
It’s for two!
Is this recipe for one or two people? Thank you.
Thank you.
Is this something that can be prepared in advance and keep in the refrigerator or will something like this not do well? Thanks
I think these should keep just fine. You might want to crisp the bacon up again though.
Thanks for the response. I guess I should have specified further. I normally cook the next weeks worth of food on Saturday. Do you think if I made 5 burgers Mon – Fri it will still be ok by the end of the week? Keep in mind I plan to exclude the bacon as I am not a huge fan. Thanks in advance for your opinion.
You can keep cooked beef for up to 4 days. You might want to freeze 2-3 of the ones you want to eat later in the week. 🙂
I’m having a little difficulty understanding this recipe. Is it 4 oz of Beef+ every ingredient( 1 oz mozzarella, 2 oz cheddar , 2 bacon, and 1 tbsp) that makes 600+ calories ? Or is it 8 oz of Beef + ingredients that makes 600+ calories ? You say it makes two servings and 1tbsp of Butter per burger, but how is it possible? Should I split ingredients in half for both burgers to exist ( .5 oz mozzarella, 1 oz cheddar, .5 tbsp butter and 1 bacon = 1 serving)?
Yes, split the ingredients in half for each burger. Sorry for any confusion that was caused!

The recipe makes two burgers, each burger is 4 ounces of beef (a quarter pound.) Then yes you would split the ingredients in half between burgers. 🙂
