Keto Philly Cheesesteak Skillet

Keto Philly Cheesesteak Skillet

This one-skillet dinner will have you drooling, I promise. Especially if you love cheesesteak! We substitute the ribeye for less expensive ground beef but feel free to use the traditional cut of meat as well. The ground beef is simmered with beef broth, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and seasoning.

We also added some cauliflower to round out the recipe. No side dishes necessary, this is really a one and done meal. The final touch is a layer of melted provolone cheese. Try not to fight over the cheese pulls as you plate this meal for your family!

Yields 5 servings of Keto Philly Cheesesteak Skillet

The Preparation

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, halved
  • 2 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup green bell pepper, diced

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 16 ounces cauliflower
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup half-and-half

  1. Sounds delicious, but I was wondering why you used half and half instead of heavy whipping cream.

  2. Your Keto Philly Cheesesteak Skillet was soooo good! I had to try it immediately even knowing I didn’t have any mushrooms. I added roasted green chiles and it was phenomenal! Mushrooms are on the list and can’t imagine it being even better. Super quick and easy and with rich flavors! Fantastic recipe and thank you for sharing Ü https://uploads.disquscdn.c

  3. THIS!! was DA BOMB! I didn’t have green peppers, used small sweet peppers instead. This recipe came together (as per usual with Craig) incredibly easy. I made rice (dirty keto) for the base and put this delicious concoction on top, just amazing. I never print recipes to keep, but this one is a keeper and a repeater!! I had leftovers the next morning, topping it with a runny egg (insert multiple drool emoji’s).

  4. I made this the other day and it was AMAZING. I’ve never made Philly Cheesesteak anything before and this was truly delicious. I didn’t have any cauliflower or green peppers. I did have small sweet peppers tho, and those with everything else was excellent. The next morning I warmed it up and topped it with a runny egg, so so good.

    5 stars
Mighty tasty one pan meal. Super simple, super succulent.

  6. Mein Kartman says

I added a T of Worcestershire and some red pepper flakes, and put it in a low carb wrap and dipped it in beef broth like a french dip. Served with parmesan asparagus (another of your recipes) fresh from the garden.
