  • 6 large egg, room temperature
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons unflavored low-carb protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter, for the pan

Filling:

  • 6 ounces deli-sliced black forest ham
  • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons green onion, chopped

The Execution

1. Gather and prep all of the ingredients. Preheat oven to 400F.

2. Add all ingredients for the savory pancake (except for the butter) to a blender.

3. Blend for 60-90 seconds to fully combine and aerate the mixture.

4. Place the butter in an oven-proof pan over medium heat. Once the butter is melted and sizzling, remove the pan from the heat and add in the batter.

5. Place the pan in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the pancake is fluffy and browned. The center should be just set. These pancakes can rise non-uniformly and will deflate some once taken out of the oven.
