Craig, I am really sorry that I cannot say anything positive about this recipe. It tasted flat, with no hint of chocolate, and even the texture got old. We won’t talk about the color. Basically this recipe has turned me off completely to keto smoothies. I wanted to like it, but ended up having to choke it down. For me It was a complete waste of a good avocado, and my husband will be very happy if I never make it again.
I’m really sorry to hear it. When I posted this recipe on YouTube I had several people say it was one of their favorites. I guess different strokes for different folks. The flaxseed meal can take a few minutes to soak everything up so sometimes leaving it for 10-15 minutes can help with the texture. Though I wouldn’t recommend making it again since it doesn’t seem agreeable 🙁
