Craig Clarke is a 12 year keto enthusiast who has helped millions of people lose weight and start a healthier life. He is responsible for setting the vision, strategies, and content for ruled.me. He’s authored over 6 cookbooks and has a passion for sharing his writings, beautiful recipes, and informational videos.

Craig believes that together we can create a healthier world – starting by ruling our own health through nutrition, research, and discipline. Alongside growing ruled.me into one of the largest keto websites in the world, he’s been featured in many top health and keto blogs, multiple national magazines, and a handful of medical studies.


Dr. Pamela Lyon, MD, FACEP

Dr. Pamela Lyon, MD, FACEP

Dr. Lyon graduated from University of Florida College of Medicine 1992. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Richland Memorial Hospital/USC Columbia, SC 1995. She continued to practice Emergency Medicine at various Emergency Departments in SC for 10 years before starting to practice bariatric medicine in 2005. In January 2008, she established WaistLines.

She completed the bariatric board certification process in April 2009. She is an American Board of Obesity Medicine diplomate, a member of the Obesity Medicine Association, active in the Obesity Action Coalition, and she regularly attends conferences and advocacy events to raise awareness for obesity treatment and prevention.

Dr. Frank Aieta, ND

Dr. Frank Aieta, ND

Dr. Aieta began his education at the University of Connecticut where he received a Bachelors of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences. This degree led him to the University Of Bridgeport College Of Naturopathic Medicine where he earned his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (N.D.). Dr. Aieta is also certified in acupuncture through the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.

He commits hundreds of hours annually to continuing education, always looking for better ways to serve his patients. Dr. Aieta has received advanced training in physical medicine and spinal manipulation, clinical nutrition, environmental medicine, homeopathy, and the use of bio-identical hormone replacement.

Dr. Aastha Kalra, Board Certified in Internal Medicine, has extensive experience in managing the range of acute and chronic illnesses suffered by her adult patients. Her skills, extend beyond traditional medicine, as she has a special interest and expertise in preventative medicine, diabetes reversal via medically supervised weight loss program. She is committed to helping patients address their specific medical problems and specializes in medically supervised weight loss.

Dr. Kalra completed her residency at Hofstra University- NorthShore LIJ Health System and thereafter served as Chief Resident. Dr. Kalra is a member of American Board of Preventative Medicine, the Obesity Society, American Board of Obesity Medicine, American Medical Association.

Dr. Barton Jennings, MD, FRACP

Dr. Barton Jennings, MBBS, FRACP, MMed

Dr. Jennings specializes in lung disease and sleep disorders in Melbourne, Australia. His public hospital appointment is Director of Lung Cancer and Bronchoscopy and he is the Chair of the lung cancer multidisciplinary tumor board at Monash Health, Victoria.

He adopted a low carbohydrate diet in 2017. Through his own experience and research into nutrition, he now recommends it to his patients. Given that breathing problems and sleep disorders are often associated with being overweight and obese, this is a very important aspect of his practice. He believes there are so many other health benefits of low carbohydrate diets that it should be recommended for all people.

Dr. Jocelyn Tan, MD

Dr. Jocelyn Tan, MD

Back in 2012, before most people knew what “ketogenic” was, Dr. Tan organized a clinical trial at the Pittsburgh VA Hospital and put advanced cancer patients on a low carbohydrate, ketogenic diet. She discovered that this diet was safe, many patients enjoyed a better quality of life, and some lived longer than expected.

Because the trial was small, Dr. Tan plans newer trials that will focus on specific cancer types. Dr. Jocelyn Tan is board-certified in medical oncology and is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at University of Pittsburgh’s School of Medicine.

Pouya Shafipour, MD, in Santa Monica, California, is a board-certified family medicine specialist with subspecialty training in a field of medicine known as bariatric or obesity medicine. He uses safe and effective medications in conjunction with dietary, nutritional, behavioral, and exercise counseling to manage obesity and medical conditions related to excessive weight gain or loss.

After finishing his residency, Dr. Shafipour pursued his passion in obesity treatment. Through extensive training by the American Society of Bariatric Physicians and the prestigious Harvard Blackburn Obesity Course, Dr. Shafipour has developed a program that focuses on healthy weight loss and a well-organized maintenance program.

After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio, she received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois. She has also obtained her Certified Nutrition Specialist professional certification.

Jerrica focuses on finding the root cause of disease utilizing a personalized and holistic viewpoint. She is an expert in botanical medicine as well as nutritional therapies. She holds certifications in personalized hormone restoration therapy, IV nutritional therapy, the Prolon Fasting Mimicking Diet (FMD) and also is a Certified Nutrition Specialist.

Dr. Sarah Neidler is a German molecular biologist with a Ph.D. in cancer research from the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research in Glasgow. She now works as a medical writer and editor with a focus on nutrition, diabetes, and cancer.

Her main interest is how nutrition and lifestyle can help to improve general health and wellbeing. She has a special focus on the ketogenic diet and how it can be beneficial for the treatment and prevention of chronic conditions, such as heart disease and diabetes.

Growing up with a keen interest for the health sciences, it became clear to Jared that he wanted to practice pharmacy as a career. Both his interest in chemistry and biology and his passion for teaching and helping others led him to that decision.

As a highly motivated individual with a passion for involvement in patient centered care using a multidisciplinary team, he strives to look at all opportunities with the goal of “win-win” situations both for the companies and well-being of patients. Tyler’s weight loss journey began as a college freshman. As he studied for his exams in nutrition and physiology, he realized that the answer on the test wasn’t the answer for his health. This bitter realization inspired his endless obsession with scientific literature and experimentation, replacing his addiction to sugar-coated “foods” with an addiction of truth.

After losing 50 pounds and gaining his Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science, Tyler began working as a personal trainer, an anatomy & physiology teacher, and a health writer for the ruled.me community.

Laura attended culinary school in Las Vegas at the College of Southern Nevada. While there, she studied food photography, nutrition, and technical writing with the hope to become the world’s most qualified food blogger. After starting her own blog, she discovered the ketogenic diet and enjoys how easily it becomes a part of your everyday life.

She’s done a bit of everything for Ruled.me including recipe development, video production, and assisting with the website – but her specialty is social media management. Laura likes coming up with creative new ideas to engage with the community and make ruled.me the best place to hang out with on Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, or Instagram.

Attis Barros, Development Lead

Attis is responsible for leading ruled.me’s development and strive for innovation. He brings over 10 years of experience with technical operations, design, and product development. He holds a strong focus on companies that support causes he believes in, and is a huge proponent of health and nutrition.

His current focus lies in the re-design and redevelopment of ruled.me and a meal planning app that simplifies the planning aspect to your specific macros. He is a full stack developer that specializes in javascript and php, but he’s constantly experimenting with new languages to grow his programming skills.
